Pre-Requisite: new members must be evaluated
to gain admittance into the program.
The SCA diving program is committed to offering quality instruction
for ages 10 and up at all skill levels. Our coaching staff has
produced numerous high school, MIAA State along with NCAA National
Champions. The UMass-Dartmouth Aquatic Center includes one 3-meter
and two 1-meter spring boards. Learned skills will include dives
from the forward, backward, inward, reverse & twist
groups.
What do I need for Practice? A
ll you need is a swimsuit, but it’s also nice to have a
towel, athletic bag, warm-up, T-shirt, shorts and a chamois (small
cloth to dry off between dives).

The Learn to Dive program (Ages 10 &

The Learn-to-Dive program serves as an introduction to the
fundamentals of competitive diving. The goal of this group is for
divers to have fun and be safe while learning the basic skills
necessary to compete in the sport.

AAU Diving Registration
All SCA divers must register online with AAU Diving
prior to their 1st day of practice
. The cost to Register
is $14.00 and it is not included in the above training fees.

Once there, You will need to enter your email address, your name,
address, phone number, birth date & gender. Next you will need
to select your type of program: Select “Youth Program”
in step 1. In step 2, select your membership
term
.
In step 3, select your sport: Diving. Answer all other required
questions.
Print your AAU membership Form and bring it to Your
First Day of SCA Practice. Athletes who do not bring their form
will not be permitted to participate until this is
received.

Practice: Roll Over & Float. It’s a Lifesaver.
All children should be taught to roll over & float on their
backs and yell for help in a water emergency.
