We are proud to announce SCA will now be training at the New Bedford High School Swimming Pool In addition to our facility at UMass Dartmouth.
The New Bedford High School Pool is located at 230 Hathaway Boulevard on the Parker St. side. Team members who train at this facility must be residents of New Bedford & attend school in the New Bedford Public School System.
This program at New Bedford High is for students ages 11 and older. Students must tryout to be accepted into the program. Koby Verran, the New Bedford High School Head Coach for Men’s Swimming & Diving will be running the program.
Participating students will be able to train at New Bedford High School on Mon, Wed, & Fri. Evenings from 6:30-7:45pm. In addition, any swimmer who wishes to train more can attend SCA practices held at UMass/Dartmouth on Tue. & Thu., from 6:45-8:30pm. Saturday practices from 7-8:45am are also available for those who want additional training time.
In addition to training, members at the New Bedford Satellite will be receive membership into USA/NE Swimming, entry into 6 meeets (3 at UMass, 3 US Swim Meets) and entry into any USA Swimming Championship meets.
