join. No matter which program they choose, their
showing their commitment to swimming and
themselves--and they will be an important part of the
South Coast’s most dominant team!

Swimming’s certified coaches are the “Aquatic
Experts"
To become a certified USA Swimming Coach, all
members must have current safety certifications in CPR, First Aid,
and Safety Training for Swim Coaches. All coaches must successfully
complete a Background Screen through USA Swimming and successfully
complete the foundations of coaching test based on USA Swimming
Progressions for Athlete & Coach Development, Foundations of
Coaching Course and USA Swimming Rules & Regulations. Once
certified yearly clinics are held to continue education in
biomechanics, technique, safety, growth & development,
nutrition, physiology, and psychology.
